The 1905 WI State Census has him with the family in Lincoln, Monroe, employed as a Telephone Operator, WW1 Registration Card (Sep.12 1918) has him at Farmington as a Railway Yard Conductor, NOK Mrs. Florence Staley,1920 Census at Farmington VillVillage, Empire Township, Dakota Co. MN with wife Florence and his 10 month old niece Helen Staley, this could possibly be the child Dorothy, daughter of his late brother John and Charlotte. Robert was accidentally killed at work when struck by a locomotive in the transfer railway yards, he'd lived in Minneapolis approximately 2 years.
