  • Notes 
    • Thomas and his wife Elizabeth sailed from Glasgow on 8 March 1853, aboard the vessel "Reaper" of 424 tons with five of their children and Agnes Wilson aged 13 years, who was listed in the 1851 census as a step-daughter, after a voyage of nearly 5 months they arrived in Port Phillip on 2 August 1853. They were soon in the Goldfields in the Castlemaine area where they remained until their deaths.
