    • He served in WW1 where he was wounded in the leg and hospitalised in England, after returning to the Front, was taken prisoner in April 1918, he was repatriated from Germany to England in December 1918 and returned to Australia in 1919, he appears to have enlisted twice in WW2 and both times was discharged medically unfit. His name is on the Granite Wall at The Australian Ex Prisoners of War Memorial in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens
