103 Charlotte was a teacher in Ashland WI in 1911 at the time of her marriage. She was a widow and Head of household in the 1920 and 1930 US Census', living in Ashland, Ashland, WI with the children, the 1940 Census has her, still in Ashland and teaching, Dorothy was with her. In her later years (from at least 1958 on) she lived at 85 Cole Ave. Providence, RI. where she was a housekeeper.
There is an Incoming Passenger List which has her arriving on the USS General H. W. Butner, at New York on May 1, 1953 from Bremerhaven, Germany, with her were her Daughter in Law, Harriet also her Granddaughter Suzanne, all residing at 224 W. Lake St. Lake Mills Wisconsin.
Her ashes were scattered from a plane over Ashland, as was her wish.

119 Doctor Shirley Blyth Robertson was born and educated in Gisborne.
She qualified from Otago University Medical School in 1948 and her House Surgeon jobs were
undertaken in Wellington Hospital.
Shirley completed her specialty training in Sheffeld, England, where she obtained the MRCOG.
It is believed she also undertook some postgraduate study in Manchester, England around this time.
In 1964/1965, Shirley returned to Gisborne and set up practice.
She joined the staff of Cook Hospital in 1967 and worked alongside Dr Marshall Stewart, until retirement in 1989, Shirley retained her staff position, and she continued in private practice for the duration of her hospital consultancy.
Shirley's work was highly regarded and she was the mainstay of the service while other obstetricians came and went.
In earlier years, Shirley played her part in the medical life of the community through her work on medical committees and her involvement with the administration of the public hospital and with Chelsea Private Hospital.
During this time, she was also an energetic office holder of the local branch of the MANZ.

122 Dorothy first came to the Northern Territory in 1937 on the SS Marella, to nurse at the Australian Inland Mission (AIM) Wimmera Home hostel/hospital at Victoria River Downs (VRD). The nursing staff worked as a team sharing professional and domestic tasks on 'a week and week about' basis Dorothy and staff were also responsible for conducting informal 'church services' and entertaining single white men in a Christian environment. Dorothy met Noel Townshend Hall at Wimmera Home and they married on the 1st May 1939 in Katherine. Noel had a contract to shoot buffaloes, they moved to small block on the Edith River in early 1940 later that year they returned to the Katherine area. In 1942 when Darwin was bombed and the women and children were evacuated she was at the Katherine railway station when Dorothy was told she was now responsible for the health and welfare of over 200 people, despite having no medicine and a delivering baby on the way she managed to get the group safely to Alice Springs. After the war Dorothy and Noel were reunited and they lived at Bonrook Station, near Pine Creek from 1945 to 1950, their daughter Diane was born at Katherine Hospital in 1946. Midway through 1950 she was asked to go and nurse at Yuendumu, an Aboriginal settlement about 280 km north-west of Alice Springs where an outbreak of gastroenteritis epidemic. She returned to Bonrook Station in 1951 where Noel involved in a number business ventures. Dorothy continued volunteering her time nursing for the community. In 1960 due to Noel's ill health they were forced to sell Bonrook Station. The family moved to Pine Creek and Dorothy worked alone as a voluntary community nurse for twelve years delivering health services through out the district eventually in 1963 she was paid a small allowance. 123 Dorothy was a Nurse, a profession which she followed until she retired aged 62, in 1966 she was awarded the MBE for her services.
She wrote of her life experiences "My Life and Times" a very interesting document.

MN and in the 1930 census at Ashland, Ashland, WI with her widowed mother and brothers, in the 1940 census she was a Student Nurse and living at Ashland with her mother, she was also recorded at the St. Joseph School of Nursing, Marshfield, Wood, WI. 126 Dot attended Caulfield PS #773 from Preps in 1922 to Year 8 . She was about 15 when started working as a machinist at a knitting factory in the Caulfield area. She worked there until she married Bob in 1939. During the war she lived with her parents and went back to work in the knitting factory until the end of the war. 128 EDUCATION: David was first educated at St.Mary's Church of England Hall which was later to become Shelford Girls School. In 1923 he became with his brother, Blyth, a weekly boarder at Caulfield Grammar School even though it was only walking distance from home. He later attended Melbourne Grammar School for three years, after which he was sent to the Bradshaw and Everett Business College which was situated where the Victorian Arts Centre now stands. He was taught typing, shorthand and bookeeping over a period of 18 months. MILITARY: In June 1940 David enlisted in the A.I.F. and was placed in a new unit, 1st Ordnance Field Park. In January 1941 he set sail for the Middle East via Sri Lanka. He disembarked at Suez and crossed the Sinai Desert to Palestine. He returned to Australia in March 1943 and completed an extensive ordnance course and was posted to Land Headquarters at Albert Park. David was discharged from the Army in late 1945.
